Dominic Costello – Managing Director
Dominic Costello is the Managing Director and Founder of Wind Energy Direct. Dominic is a qualified Electronics Engineer and began his career with Wang Laboratories. He joined ITS in 1998 and became General Manager of ITS UK and later Managing Director of ITS Ireland.
Dominic established Wind Energy Direct in 2006. Dominic holds an MBA from the University of Limerick.
John Cusack – Commercial Director
John Cusack is the Commercial Director at Wind Energy Direct.
John Cusack founded ITS in 1984, a leading provider of HR software solutions. ITS grew to have operations in Ireland and the UK and an agent in the USA. ITS UK was sold to Ceridian Centrefile (a Fortune 1000 company) in 1999. John held a number of senior management positions with the Ceridian group – including; Managing Director – HR Solutions, Group Sales & Marketing Director and later Group Managing Director of Ceridian Ireland.
John also mentors companies on behalf of Enterprise Ireland and the Irish Management Institute.
Dr. Edward Walsh – non-executive board member
Dr. Ed Walsh is the founding President of the University of Limerick. He is also the Founding Chairman of the Irish Council for Science Technology and Innovation.
Dr. Ed Walsh holds a Masters and PhD qualification in nuclear and electrical engineering.
Larry Staudt – non-executive board member
Larry Staudt is the Director of the Centre for Renewable Energy at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DKIT). In the US, Larry worked with Enertech Corporation, designing and building wind turbines and hot water heating systems.
He was a founding member and Chief Executive of the Irish Wind Energy Association. He was also the Vice-President of the European Wind Energy Association.
Brendan Tuohy – non-executive board member
Brendan Tuohy is a Former Secretary General of the Irish Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources. He also served as an Assistant Secretary in the former Department of Transport, Energy and Communications.
Brendan holds a degree in civil engineering from UCC and a MSc in public management. He is also a Non-Executive board member of the Quinn Group.
Wind Energy Direct is a Wind Energy company with Irish offices based in Limerick Ireland. Wind Energy Direct specialises in installing wind turbines on business and industrial sites throughout the Ireland in areas such as Cork, Kerry, Cavan & Mayo.
